Experience Japan's oldest comedy
~ Experience the joy of laughing and the excitement of imagination ~
While "Noh," which was created in the same era, is a tragic musical drama, "Kyogen" is a comical dialogue drama. Just because it is a "classical performing art," people tend to misunderstand that it is somehow difficult, but compared to "Noh," which creates tension in the audience, "Kyogen" has played a role similar to that of a circus clown.
On a stage with no set, with minimal props, we act as if various things are there in the empty space. In Kyogen, it is very important to imagine various things. Please expand your imagination and enjoy the dynamic play.
